AMENDMENT TO CIRCULAR LETTER OF THE DIRECTOR GENERAL No. SE-08/BC/2009 CONCERNING ENFORCEMENT PROVISIONS ON THE EXPORT OF GOODS REQUIRED TO USE L/C

Due to some constraints in the implementation of application of the L/C on commodity exports of mining products, CPO, cocoa, coffee and rubber that payment method can use the L/C or other payment documents especially CAD and TT payment, herewith the amendment to Circular Letter of Director General of Customs and Excise No. SE-08/BC/2009 concerning Enforcement Provision on the Export of Goods are Required to use Letter of Credit L/C in paragraph 4, so the paragraph 4 of the Circular Letter is as follow:

4. Filling of payment method, number and date of payment document at PEB on the commodities can be paid by L/C payment or other payment method:

• a. Payment method is filled with one code of payment method. For payment which payment proof has not been received by exporters, method of payment selected "pay later" or "payment is made by calculating then";
• b. Number and date of L/C or the number and date of payment documents, if any, filled in the field "Kind/Number/Date of customs complementary documents" column at PEB. In case Customs complementary documents are more than one (not only L/C), so fill "……… documents (sum in number and letter)". Number and date of L/C or number and date of payment document if any are written in PEB documents Continuous Page.
• c. Thus for the export of commodities that can be done by L/C payment method or other payment method, if the payment document has been no received, no need to put a number and date on the payment document in "Kind/Number/Date of customs complementary documents" at PEB.

This is used as guideline of customs service in export sector.
