a. that based on an official report of the World Animal Health Body (Office International des Epizooties/OIE) through the World Animal Health Information Database (WAHID) Vol. 23-Number 16 dated April 7, 2010, there has been an outbreak of foot and mouth disease in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan, due to FMD virus of serotype O;
b that until May 14, 2010 the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries reported to the World Animal Health Body (Office International des Epizooties/OIE) that there is still an outbreak of foot and mount disease in Japan;
c. that based on the consideration above to keep the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia free from foot and mouth diseases well as to prevent the entry and spread of foot and mouth disease into the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, It is necessary to stipulate a ban on the import of certain agricultural commodities from Japan into the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia;

REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE CONCERNING BAN ON THE IMPORT OF CERTAIN AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS FROM JAPAN INTO THE TERRITORY OF THE UNITARY STATE OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
Certain agriculture commodities from Japan shall be banned from entering the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia as follows:
1. mammals, pigs, and other animals with an even number of nails;
2. unprocessed animal products, such as meat, milk, cement, embryo, hide, bone, feather, wool are originated from mammals, pigs, and other animals with an even number of nails;
3. fresh animal feed, such as wee, rice stalks and the like already processed;
4. Finished feed and concentrates for mammals, pigs, and other animals with an event number of nails;
5. fertilizer originating from animals;
6. organ, gland, protein and extract of mammals, pigs, and other animal with an even number of nails;
7. biological products originating from mammals, pigs, and other animals with an even number of nails.
Certain agriculture commodities as intended in Article 1 can enter to the territory of the Republic of Indonesia if they were shipped from Japan before April 7, 2010, and supported by official documents.
PMK status in South Korea will be routinely evaluated every 2 (two) weeks based on WAHID OIE reports.
This Regulation shall come into force as from the date of promulgation.
For public cognizance, this Ministerial Regulation shall be promulgated by placing it in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
